'Terrible time' for Rhys Williams after doping charge, says father JJ

Rhys Williams has been going through a "terrible time" since failing a drugs test according to his father, former Wales and British and Irish Lions rugby union wing JJ Williams who was talking to BBC Radio Wales Sport's Catrin Heledd.

Williams, 30, the 2012 European 400m hurdles champion, missed the 2014 Commonwealth Games after testing positive in both his A and B samples at the Glasgow Grand Prix on 11 July.

The athlete has always denied he knowingly took any performance-enhancing substance and faces a hearing in December.
