Sochi 2014: Elise Christie and Jack Whelbourne pleased after qualifiers

GB short-track skaters Elise Christie and Jack Whelbourne say they are "both in a good place" after strong performances at the opening short-track Olympic qualifier in Italy.

The pair came through five heats each to leave Britain on the cusp of earning their first places at the 2014 Winter Olympics.

While not mathematically certain, their results in Turin should earn berths in the men's and women's 500m and 1500m in Sochi.
