Sochi 2014: Lizzy Yarnold opens with skeleton track record
Great Britain's Lizzy Yarnold leads the field in the skeleton at the halfway point after setting a track record of 58.43 seconds in her opening run.
Yarnold's second ride was just almost as strong and she remains in gold medal position with an overall time of one minute, 56.89 seconds - 0.44 seconds faster than her nearest rival.
Meanwhile, team-mate and world champion Shelley Rudman is down in 11th (+1.90). Riders will have two final runs on Friday.
