Olympic bobsleigh hero Robin Dixon recalls 1964 Innsbruck glory
A chance meeting with his infamous cousin Lord Lucan helped propel Northern Ireland man Robin Dixon to Winter Olympics bobsleigh gold in 1964.
"He asked me if I knew anything about bobsleighing and the answer was 'no'," said Dixon of his 1957 conversation with the then John Bingham in St Moritz.
Seven years later, Dixon, who is now Lord Glentoran, and his team-mate Tony Nash picked up what remains Britain's only bobsleigh gold medal at the Innsbruck Winter Games.
