Alpine World Championships: Ted Ligety wins Giant Slalom title

American skier Ted Ligety wins his third consecutive Giant Slalom title at the Alpine World Championships at Beaver Creek.

Marcel Hirscher of Austria took the silver medal and Alexis Pinturault of France the bronze.

Ligety won the 2011 world Giant slalom title in Germany and then again two years ago in Austria.
