Qualifier Robert Paxton recovered from a first-set loss to beat Greg Harlow in the final of the Scottish International Open in Perth.
Harlow opened with an 11-2 first-set win but Paxton scored a three during the crucial eighth end as he claimed the second 10-2.
And Paxton confirmed his first World Bowls Tour tournament triumph by winning the tie-break 2-0.
"It's nice to have come back after the first set the way I did," said Paxton.
"The way the game went, I thought it was a fantastic game - topsy-turvy sets but, to be honest, neither of us played badly in either set.
"Any three will count in this game, especially towards the end of a set, it's really big."
Harlow said of his display: "I was quite happy with my whole performance throughout the whole game.
"The [first] two sets were very one-sided - it didn't quite feel like that on the rink and I didn't quite pull it off in the tie-break.
"I dropped too many short bowls and Robert just stamped on them and piled his in and I was under all sort of trouble."
Victory boosts Paxton's chance of breaking into the world's top 16.
"I've got one more event left," added Paxton.
"It'd be fantastic if I have made the 16."
