Katherine Rednall is youngest World Indoor Bowls winner

Katherine Rednall has become the youngest winner of the World Indoor Bowls women's singles title, beating Norfolk's Rebecca Field in two sets.

The 18-year-old won the first set 14-4, before cruising to victory over the defending champion with an 11-3 win in the second at Hopton, Great Yarmouth.

Rednall, who is the daughter of England international John Rednall, was making her World Indoor debut at Potters.

The A-Level student from Stowmarket was a losing finalist in the mixed pairs.
