World Boxing Championships: Fred Evans through to last 16

Fred Evans reached the last 16 of the welterweight division at the World Amateur Championships in Almaty after beating Zaal Kvachatadze of Georgia.
Olympic silver medallist Evans withstood a tough opening round to claim a clear victory with a fine display of counter-punching.
Scottish light-heavyweight Scott Forrest beat Denmark's Martin Pedersen via unanimous decision.
But Welsh lightweight Joe Cordina was beaten by Cuban Lazaro Estrada
Belfast lightweight Sean McComb booked his place in the last 16 with a comprehensive points win over Gildas Bangana of the Central African Republic.
And Ireland team-mate Joe Ward also went through with an impressive unanimous win over Pole Mateusz Tryc in the light-heavyweight class.
