Jones wants success now 'more than ever'

Portsmouth boxer Ebonie Jones said she wants to "put on a show" in a homecoming bout on Saturday.
The undefeated featherweight headlines at South Parade Pier where she will meet Kenya's Consolata Musanga for the Commonwealth silver featherweight title.
It was not long ago though that Jones, 26, was fighting in venues such as the O2 Arena, Wembley Arena and The Hydro in Glasgow.
However, after a change of trainer in January 2023, her past two bouts have been on smaller hall shows, a stark difference in size despite still remaining unbeaten.
"When I was fighting on those big shows I wasn’t in the right place," Jones told BBC Sport.
"Boxing is full of ups and downs and you need to be around a team that you can trust and want the best for you, and that’s what I have around me now.
"Everything happens for a reason, going from fighting on big shows to the smaller shows has made me want it even more than ever, this is why I’m fighting for this title as a first step to big fights and bigger opportunities."
Jones has five wins and one draw, winning last time out in Rotherham after nearly a year out of the ring.
She was previously part of the first-ever all-female card to be televised in Britain, which was headlined by Claressa Shields and Savannah Marshall.
Jones trains in Sheffield at the Steel City Gym but returns to her hometown to top a card packed with Hampshire-based boxers.
"I’m so excited for it as it will be my first-ever title fight." Jones added.
"The fact it’s down in Portsmouth too with all my friends and family is special too, I want to put on a show and a performance I’m capable of.
"I’m expecting it to be a tough fight and to have to dig deep, I want this belt so bad."
