Trainer Brian McIntyre - better known as Bomac - was absent from Chris Eubank Jr's corner in April after "carelessly" bringing a gun into the UK, but he has overseen this camp after guiding Terence Crawford to a historic win in September.

Crawford beat Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez to become the first male fighter in the modern era to hold undisputed titles in three weight divisions.

A pretty good trainer to have by your side.

Even without any belts on the line, this is the kind of event that draws big names.

As well a hundred or so media, plenty of boxers have packed into the Pelligon on the banks of the Thames tonight.

WBC lightweight champion Caroline Dubois, former cruiserweight world champion Chris Billam-Smith and heavyweight Dave Allen are among those waiting to see what unfolds in this news conference.

  6. Eubank v Benn 2 weight rules & is there a rehydration clause?published at 19:24 GMT

The second fight between Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn will be conducted at the middleweight limit of 11st 6lb (160lbs). Like the first encounter, there is a rehydration clause, meaning neither man can put on more than 10lb between Friday's weigh-in and Saturday morning.

    Friday weights for first fight:

    • Eubank - 11st 6.05lb
    • Conor Benn - 11st 2lb

    Saturday weights for first fight:

Conor Benn said he was too emotional during the first fight with Chris Eubank Jr but has cut a different figure so far this week.

Benn looked so relaxed at yesterday's open workout. After some light pad work with trainer Tony Sims, he convinced his father Nigel to step into the ring for some shadow boxing.

A 61-year-old Nigel showed he still had a bit of speed and agility as he kept Conor on his toes.

A quick changeover of name tags on the top table as we get ready for the second half of this news conference and right next to Chris Eubank Jr is… Chris Eubank Sr.

Eubank Sr wasn’t expected here tonight but the next half hour or so could be very interesting.

The pair rekindled their relationship 24 hours before Eubank Jr v Benn in April and this will be their first news conference together since.

  12. Will he or won't he?published at 19:14 GMT

It was pure cinema when Chris Eubank Sr stepped out of the Rolls Royce in the car park at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

He didn't take part in any of the pre-fight build-up but will he this time? We'll find out soon!

    Riakporhe v Welch

    Bobbie Jackson
    BBC Sport at the Pelligon

Tommy Welch, who faces Richard Riakporhe, has got the chat.

“This isn’t Richard’s downfall, it’s my arrival,” he says.

“The Midnight Train will be taking the last bus home.”

Riakporhe initially says he’s going to do his “talking in the ring” before eventually biting. Our first bit of back-and-forth of the evening - doubt it will be the last.

  19. The other father-son duo boxing on Eubank v Benn cardpublished at 18:55 GMT

    Riakporhe v Welch

While the boxing dynasty of Eubank v Benn is to be the main event, heavyweight Tommy Welch also fights on the undercard with a famous father in his corner.

Scott Welch is a former British and Commonwealth champion, but his best-known fight was with Brad Pitt in Guy Ritchie's film Snatch.

His son, Tommy Welch, went to the same West Sussex school as Chris Eubank Jr, who also trained at the boxing gym Scott Welch runs in Hove, East Sussex.

Welch is fighting Richard Riakporhe on Saturday night, while Eubank Jr faces Conor Benn, whose fathers – Nigel Benn and Chris Eubank – fought in two world title contests in the 1990s.

"I crossed paths with Chris at school, and it was very relevant that our fathers were both ex-boxers, his being a bit more famous than mine," Welch said.

"But everyone still knew who my father was in this town, especially after Snatch. He became more of a film star after his boxing career."

    Davis v Gilley

Ishmael Davis takes on Sam Gilley on Saturday night in a fight for the British and Commonwealth light-middleweight titles.

After three defeats in his last four fights, Eddie Hearn has just said Davis is in a "must-win fight" and it is "last chance saloon" for him.
