At the first news conference for this rematch back in April there was a lot of talk about the controversial low blow from the first contest in 2023.

Daniel Dubois' trainer Don Charles said Oleksandr Usyk had "conned the referee" and deserved an "Oscar for his performance".

I've heard whispers that both camps are growing a little long in the tooth with that subject so we might hear less about it today and more focus on what is to come on Saturday.

    Here's hoping.

Oleksandr Usyk wore Daniel Dubois down in the first fight as you can see by the amount of punches landed by the Ukrainian.

Was Dubois shot shy in Poland? Potentially. He landed just 16% of the 47 punches landed.

Expect to see more on Saturday.

After heartbreak in the first fight, Daniel Dubois admitted he'd been "working in the gym for weeks and weeks on that shot".

We've put together a graph below to show you the amount of body shots Dubois has used in his last six bouts.

This time it's Dubois who has to drag himself off the canvas but this one was deemed a legitimate knockdown.

As with all his fights, Usyk ends the night with his hands raised.

Fight week officially started on Monday when Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois spent some time on an open top bus dashing around London.

One thing organisers didn't take into consideration was low-hanging trees around the capital. The upshot was it gave the boxers a chance to practice their ducking and weaving before the big night.

This is the question you all want to know, right?

Aside from the previously mentioned Derek Chisora, it has been a pretty lowkey so far in terms of big-name fighters showing their faces but the week is still young.

A heavyweight bout of this magnitude, with the undisputed title on the line, doesn't come around often/ever in the UK so I'll keep my eyes peeled to see if any show their faces today.

You'd expect the other big-hitters in the division - Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua and Joseph Parker - to be here on fight next.

    How's your Thursday going?

I've already been snubbed by Derek Chisora and had a mad dash to the shops after my shoelaces snapped.

But a news conference with Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois should help to brighten up my day.

Dubois pushed Usyk when they met on the pitch at Wembley in April and he was screaming "and the new" when they faced off outside the national stadium earlier this week. Usyk laughed it off on both occasions.

What antics should we be expecting today?
