England's women will head to the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow with 14 members of the squad that finished 11th at the World Cup.

The side's final position in Holland a couple of weeks ago was England's worst showing at the event.

Captain Kate Richardson-Walsh, 34, will bring her 15-year international career to an end as she leads Jason Lee's side for the final time next month.

Giselle Ansley returns after missing the World Cup and Lucy Wood is chosen.

Wood has impressed with her performances in England's development squad.

Ashleigh Ball, part of the London 2012 bronze-winning squad, misses out after surgery to repair anterior and medial ligaments.

The men's 16-strong squad is made up of all but one of the players who finished fourth at the World Cup.
