Guernsey squash player Chris Simpson is aiming to make the semi-finals of the men's singles at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
The 27-year-old, who will be competing in his fourth games for Guernsey, is ranked seventh for the tournament.
"My goal really is to make the semi-finals," said Simpson.
"I'm going to push hard to do that, make the quarter-finals and then get a win against one of the top four seeds," he told BBC Radio Guernsey.
Simpson, who broke into the world top 20 in April, is currently 23rd in the world and is the sixth-highest ranked Briton.
He is training in the United States before returning to his base in Harrogate later this month to finalise his preparations for Glasgow.
"It's going to be my fourth games, so I feel like I'm quite experienced in that environment," he added.
"I think this time I've got a good chance of doing well, I'm in good form and look forward to going there."
