Liam Pitchford and Paul Drinkhall won the men's doubles and Ross Wilson took the TT6-10 Para title as England claimed two table tennis gold medals.

The 22-year-old, who took Paralympic bronze in the team event at Rio, saw off fellow Englishman Kim Daybell, beating the 25-year-old favourite 3-1.

Pitchford and Drinkhall then edged out India's Sharath Achanta and Sathiyan Gnanasekaran 3-2.

They needed a deciding game to win after an Achanta-inspired recovery.

In the TT6-10 Para final, Daybell took the opening game 11-7 but Wilson, from Minster in Thanet, Kent, fought back.

Daybell is ranked fifth in the world in the Class 10 division - with none of the top four featuring at the Games - but had no answer to the comeback, from Wilson, ranked sixth in the Class 8 category.

Joshua Stacey of Wales took bronze by beating South Africa's Theo Cogill 3-2.

In the women's Para event, Australian Melissa Tapper, who also represented her country in the non-disabled competition, took gold, beating Nigeria's Faith Obazuaye.

The TT6-10 category covers athletes with impairments in both arms and legs.
