Friends Life t20, Beckenham

Kent 153-4 (18.1 ovs) beat Surrey 150-4 (20.0 ovs) by six wickets

A 112-run stand between Azhar Mahmood and Martin van Jaarsveld helped Kent to a six-wicket FL t20 win over Surrey.

Surrey batted first at Beckenham and made 150-4 off their 20 overs, Tom Maynard starring with 76 off 53 balls.

The hosts' run chase got off to a poor start, paceman Dirk Nannes bowling both openers in the second over.

However, a combination of big hitting and astute running from Mahmood (49) and Van Jaarsveld (62) set Kent up to win with 11 balls to spare.
