Jersey's group match against Kuwait at the World Cricket League Division Six was abandoned because of rain in Malaysia.

The islanders were struggling after being put in to bat and had reached 55-4 from 18.2 overs.

Jersey batsmen Ed Farley, Ben Stevens, Corey Bisson and Peter Gough were all out for single-figure scores.

Opener Dean Morrison was unbeaten on 28 while Sibtain Raza took 2-15 in his six overs.

The match will be replayed on Monday at the Kinrara Oval.

Jersey lost their opening game of the tournament by nine runs against rivals Guernsey on Saturday.
