Jersey have retained their ICC World Cricket League Division Six status after beating Fiji by 28 runs.

Sam de la Haye hit 63 while Peter Gough got 55 as Jersey scored 247-6 off their 50 overs in Malaysia.

In reply the island side bowled out the Fijians for 210 with just over five overs to spare, with Ben Stevens taking three wickets for 52 runs.

It means that Jersey, who also Nigeria, have finished fourth in the group stage.

They will now meet Kuwait on Saturday in a play-off for third place.
