Warwickshire were badly held up by the rain on day three of their County Championship Division One game against Sussex at Hove.
Less than an hour's play was possible as Sussex, chasing the Bears' mammoth 545, lost three wickets to reach 80-5.
After resuming on 57-2, the home side lost Luke Wells and Murray Goodwin, both leg before to Keith Barker.
In between, Chris Wright nipped in to remove England wicketkeeper Matt Prior for a third-ball duck.

BBC WM's Mike Taylor:
"If the forecast for heavy overnight rain turns out to be true, the last ball of this match may already have been bowled.
"That will be a pity, as Warwickshire have been in command almost throughout and would surely have won given enough time but, with most teams having been even less fortunate with the weather this week, it's not too damaging.
"In today's short spell of play, Chris Wright and Keith Barker were a formidable pairing in difficult batting conditions, taking three wickets in eight overs."
Rain caused the final day in each of the eight County Championship matches to be abandoned without a ball being bowled. As a result, all eight games ended in draws.
