Lancashire have announced that Pakistan bowler Junaid Khan will not feature in their FL t20 campaign.

The 22-year-old, who played for the Red Rose in last year's competition, has been selected for the national squad that will take on Sri Lanka.

The club tweeted:, external "Due to his commitments with the Pakistan Test squad, Junaid Khan won't be playing for Lancashire Lightning this season."

All-rounder Yasir Arafat is due to be Lancashire's other overseas player.

Junaid is one of several overseas players to pull out of this season's T20 competition.

Somerset have seen deals for Faf Du Plessis fall through because of their international commitments with the West Indies and South Africa respectively.

Worcestershire will have do without Pakistan spinner Saeed Ajmal for the same reason, while Durham will not be able to call on the services of Australian all-rounder Mitchell Johnson.

Fellow Aussie pace bowler Peter Siddle's move to Essex was postponed because of injury.
