Australia beat Leicestershire by 102 runs in rain-affected match

Australia 241-8 (41 overs) beat Leicestershire 136 (29.4 overs) by 102 runs (D/L method)

Australia eased to victory over Leicestershire in their first warm-up game ahead of the one-day series against England.

The tourists won the rain-affected match at Grace Road by 102 runs under the Duckworth-Lewis system after posting a total of 241-8.

Leicestershire, chasing a revised a target of 239 off 36 overs, were bowled out for 136 with 38 balls remaining.

Clint McKay was the pick of the Australian bowlers with 4-31.

But Mitchell Johnson, looking to reclaim his place in the one-day side, failed to take a wicket in six overs that cost 27 runs.

David Warner was the star performer with the bat for the visiting side with 74, including three sixes and five fours, before retiring.

The Australians now play Ireland and Essex before the five-match series with England starts on 29 June.
