We'll be back on Thursday from 10:15 BST when there's a huge two points up for grabs as India take on New Zealand in Navi Mumbai.

    See you then!

So, England's unbeaten run comes to an end. They remain in third position - one point behind second-placed South Africa - while unbeaten Australia return to the top of the table.

Attention now turns to Navi Mumbai on Thursday, where India take on New Zealand in a crucial match in the race for the last semi-final spot.

India are on a three-match losing streak and in real danger of exiting their home World Cup in the group stage. New Zealand have been frustrated by the weather, with their past two matches ending in no result.

The winner will take a huge step towards the last four.

  4. 'If you told me 244 at the start, I'd have been stoked'published at 17:23 BST 22 October

Australia captain Tahlia McGrath: "Very happy. The spinners did a fantastic job with the ball. It was a shaky start with the bat but Ash [Gardner] and Bells [Annabel Sutherland] were world class."

On Alana King: "I knew she was our key match-up. She's got a good record against England and matches up to their whole batting line-up. I was tossing up whether it was 10 straight but I held her back. She held her lengths relentless and found a bit of turn."

On Australia's bowling: "We missed our length a little bit early and got punished a little bit today with the new ball. We could have been tidier at the death. But if you'd told me 244 at the start of the day, I'd have been stoked."

On Annabel Sutherland: "She's such a gun and it's scary how young she is. Her planning is meticulous and whenever we're in trouble, we turn to Bells."

On Alyssa Healy: "It's day by day. I leave that in the hands of the physio. She's tracking nicely."

  5. 'The partnership took the game away from us'published at 17:21 BST 22 October

England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt: "I suppose we didn't have enough runs. Alana King bowled very well in the middle overs, and it made it very difficult to put a partnership together. With the lights coming on the conditions did change a little bit. The last partnership took the game away from us.

"I'm very bad at numbers. I'd have been happy at 280, I reckon.

"We couldn't control with the ball. We had patches of building pressure, but the four-ball kept coming. We probably tried a few too many things to be honest, should probably have kept it simple.

"We'll take the positives and the learnings. Coming up against a quality side you have to be really good and we weren't at our best today. But we'll be ready if we see them again."

On facing Alana King: "I guess being really clear on what shots you did want to play. Probably playing off the back foot would be more useful, and working out on how to get to bowl a length so you can play off the back foot."

But an unbeaten 180-run stand between Ash Gardner and Annabel Sutherland quickly crushed any hopes of an England victory.

Gardner stole the show with the bat, scoring an unbeaten century.

She finished with 104 (73), including 16 fours, and has two centuries so far in the tournament.

Tammy Beaumont top-scored for England, scoring 78 (105).

However, Charlotte Edwards' side were left to rue a slow middle phase, with Alana King halting the runs (1-20).

    They posted 244-9.

  10. 'We knew the game was going to keep moving'published at 17:08 BST 22 October

Player of the match Annabel Sutherland: "It was pretty fun, it's all pretty good playing with Ash, she keeps the game moving.

"Try and have some time in the middle. Once you got in it was a really nice wicket to bat on with a fast outfield.

"I know when I get in I can cash in, just try and trust my game. I've tinkered with a few things mentally.

"We knew the game was going to keep moving, we just had to keep batting really.

"The spinners did a great job, especially Alana King, really stalled their momentum and picked up wickets throughout. I trusted my instincts, I feel like I've got the skills to go with any batter that I need to."

Annabel Sutherland, who took 3-60, including the big wicket of Tammy Beaumont, and scored 98 not out (112) is unsurprisingly named player of the match.

It's a real case of what might have been for England in Indore.

They had a good powerplay (55-1) but got bogged down in the middle overs. And despite Alice Capsey and Charlie Dean flaying runs for the seventh wicket, 244 felt under par.

They then had Australia rocking on 24-3 and 68-4 but had no answer to Annabel Sutherland (98*) and Ash Gardner (104*).

    The Australia machine marches on.
