BBC WM's Mike Taylor:

"Getting this match finished in three days to give them a day's breather before Lord's on Saturday is going to be a bit of a tall order for Warwickshire from here, but it has been a match in which a few odd things have happened, so one never knows.

"Contest of the day (or half-day) was the brief head-to-head of Andy Carter bowling to Chris Wright. Warwickshire's admirable spearhead this season bounced out the Notts number 11 on Tuesday, hitting him three times before having him caught at short leg.

"Carter returned the compliment today and, though he didn't claim Wright's wicket, he did hit him on the chest. If you give it, you've got to take it. And you're telling me this is a meaningless match?"
