Leicestershire v Gloucestershire: Lower order stands firm for visitors

Gloucestershire were grateful for lower-order resistance as they fought back on day two against Leicestershire.

Three early wickets left the visitors struggling on 46-5, but a 61-run stand between Hamish Marshall (47) and Benny Howell (52) steadied the side.

Ollie Freckingham and Robbie Williams both claimed 4-69, but Jack Taylor (61 no) and Will Gidman (52) saw the visitors to 280 and a 30-run lead.

Michael Thornley and Niall O'Brien then fell to leave Leicestershire 32-2.
