Marcus North stars in second Glamorgan YB40 win

Yorkshire Bank 40, Lord's:

Glamorgan 280-3 (40 overs) beat Middlesex 254-9 (40 overs) by 26 runs

A majestic century from Marcus North led Glamorgan to a 26-run Yorkshire Bank 40 win over Middlesex at Lord's.

Having top-scored in the opening Group C win against Yorkshire on Sunday, North was again the match-winner with 137 not out from 98 balls.

He was ably supported by Jim Allenby (69 not out) as Glamorgan reached 280-3 from their 40 overs.

Allenby then took two wickets, with Michael Hogan taking three as they restricted the home side to 254-9.

Hogan took the crucial wicket of Gareth Berg who briefly threatened to reel in Glamorgan's total before falling for 75 runs from 57 balls.

Glamorgan host Unicorns, who have lost both opening games, at Cardiff on Sunday in their next match in the competition.
