India bowl Australia out for 65 to win warm-up game

ICC Champions Trophy warm-up, Cardiff:

India 308-6 (50 overs) beat Australia 65 (23.3 overs) by 243 runs

India claimed a 243-run victory over Australia in their Champions Trophy warm-up match after bowling the defending champions out for just 65.

Dinesh Karthik's 146 not out and 91 from captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni helped India - at one stage struggling on 55-5 - to post 308-6 in Cardiff.

Then Umesh Yadav (5-18) and Ishant Sharma (3-11) tore through Australia.

Adam Voges (23) top-scored for Australia, who were missing captain Michael Clarke.

Geroge Bailey, captaining Australia in the absence of Clarke, said: "It was certainly not the way we wanted to play but if you are going to have a game like that, you may as well have it in a practice game."

Meanwhile, West Indies enjoyed a 17-run win over Sri Lanka, external in a warm-up match at Edgbaston.

West Indies made 297-6 before bowling Sri Lanka out for 280.
