Lancashire have signed New Zealand seam bowler Mitchell McClenaghan for this summer's FL t20 campaign.

The 26-year-old has taken eight wickets so far at the ICC Champions Trophy, including four against Australia.

McClenaghan and Australian Simon Katich will be the county's two overseas players for the competition.

"To have an international quality left-arm seamer joining us for the T20 competition is very exciting and a real boost," said head coach Peter Moores.

"The fact that Mitchell is coming straight out of international cricket in England means he will hit the ground running and his competitive nature looks a perfect fit for how we go about our cricket."

McClenaghan made his international debut last winter and has so far played nine 50-over and six Twenty20 matches for New Zealand.
