Dan Christian is looking forward to making an impact against his fellow countrymen when he plays for Gloucestershire against Australia A.
The Sydney-born all-rounder, 30, has signed for the county's T20 campaign and will make his debut in the tour game at Nevil Road, starting on Friday.
"I'm excited about the next two months, especially the game against Australia A," Christian told BBC Radio Bristol.
"I've played for and against every one of them so it should be fun."
He continued: "It will be nice to blow a few cobwebs away and hopefully I'll do OK."
Christian, who has arrived in Bristol after a stint in the Indian Premier League playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore, has represented his country 11 times in T20 and has also played in 17 one-day internationals, taking a hat-trick against Sri Lanka last year.
The medium-pace bowler had a previous spell in the English game with Hampshire, and helped them lift the T20 trophy in 2010.
He will join fellow Australian Michael Klinger at Gloucestershire and Christian admitted: "Michael was a pretty big factor [in the move].
"I've played a lot with him over the past five or six years and I was keen to continue that relationship."
Christian has not played for his country since last September and hopes his stint with Gloucestershire will boost his international credentials.
"I'm really keen to get back in those short-form teams," he added. "With consistent performances I could maybe push for a Test place as well."
