Jersey made it two wins in a row as they swept aside Belgium in the ICC European Division One T20 in Sussex.

Paul Connelly took three wickets as the Belgians were restricted to 134 all out in their 20 overs.

In reply, Jersey took just 15 overs to reach 135-2, with Ben Stevens (50 not out) and Andrew Dewhurst (40 not out) seeing them to an eight-wicket win.

Stevens was also the star performer as Jersey beat France by the same margin in their first game in the tournament.

Anthony Hawkins-Kay (3-10) and Stevens (3-25) did the damage with the ball as France were bowled out for 112.

The island side then wasted little time in knocking off the runs, reaching 115-2 in 13.5 overs.

Skipper Peter Gough hit 43 off 33 balls at the start of the innings, before Stevens capped a fine all-round display with 50 not out off just 34 balls, including eight fours and a six.
