Guernsey hit back after losing to Italy in the ICC Division One T20 by beating Gibraltar in their second game of the day.

Jamie Nussbaumer went for just six runs from his four overs as Gibraltar made 116-5 off their 20 overs.

In reply, opening batsman Lucas Barker (51 not out) carried his bat and Isaac Damerell (32) and GH Smit (19 not out) gave support.

The islanders needed just 14.2 overs as they cruised to 117-2.

In the morning Guernsey suffered their first loss off the tournament against favourites Italy.

Despite Max Ellis taking 4-15, Italy were bowled out by the last ball of their 20 overs for 162.

Guernsey started well but never recovered from losing Jeremy Frith (35) and Damerell (24) in the space of one over and ended on 133-8.

Guernsey are in second place in Group A, behind Italy, with three wins from four matches.
