Leicestershire head coach Phil Whitticase says spin bowler Jigar Naik will be out for a minimum of four months because of his shoulder injury.
Naik dislocated his shoulder during the FLt20 win over Nottinghamshire on 12 July but Whitticase told told BBC Radio Leicester the operation went well.
"There was quite a lot of damage in the shoulder," said Whitticase.
"He has had his work done by the best surgeon in the country and he is 99% sure Jigar will be fine."
Whitticase added: "It will be an extensive rehab programme and it will be a minimum of four months so we are looking at [Naik returning in] the middle of winter."
