Sean Ervine hit an unbeaten 60 off 34 balls as Hampshire beat Middlesex by eight runs to deny the visitors a FLt20 quarter-final spot.
With Essex falling to defeat against Surrey, victory for Middlesex would have secured a place in the next round.
Ervine was backed up by Neil McKenzie (47 not out) and Jimmy Adams (43) as Hampshire, who had already qualified as group winners, made a dominating 190-3.
Joe Denly (67) took Middlesex close but they fell short on 182-7.
Hampshire will now host Lancashire on Wednesday 7 August (1910 BST).
