Glamorgan: Gareth Rees included in squad to face Somerset

Batsman Gareth Rees is included in Glamorgan's 40-over squad for Monday's crucial match with Somerset in Cardiff.

Rees displaces Will Bragg after showing good form with the bat in division two of the County Championship.

Bowlers Simon Jones, Andrew Salter and Alex Jones are also included after impressing for the second XI.

Rees is included after scoring an undeaten 107 in the drawn match against Lancashire and 112 in the 43 run defeat by Hampshire.

Salter (4-59) and Alex Jones (4-39) both impressed in the 2nd XI Championship win over Worcestershire.

Simon Jones took 3-16 in a comfortable 63-run win over Worcestershire in the one-day Second XI trophy.

Victory for the Welsh county would maintain their challenge in Group C.

Somerset beat Glamorgan by three wickets when the teams met in this competition on 12 June.

Since then Matthew Mott's team have been eliminated from the T20 competition and are lying second to bottom in Division Two of the County Championship.
