Close, day one: Gloucestershire v Lancashire 33-2 |
Will Gidman took two early wickets but only 10 overs were possible on the opening day of Gloucestershire's Division Two match against Lancashire.
Gidman took the wicket of Paul Horton in the first over for a six-ball duck and that was followed by Ashwell Prince who lasted 10 balls without scoring.
Karl Brown smashed five fours in making 20 not out from 14 balls and Luis Reece was unbeaten on 12 when the rain came.
Lancashire, who are already promoted, need 12 points to confirm the title.
The visitors included England Under-19 wicketkeeper Alex Davies in their side, who is playing his third Championship game for his county after making his debut last season.
