Just nine deliveries were bowled before rain set in on day three of the match between Leicestershire and Hampshire at Grace Road.
Resuming on 362-2 with Liam Dawson (136 not out) and James Vince (145 not out) at the crease, the visitors added just two runs to the overnight score before the players were forced off.
Play was called off for the day after a final inspection at 14:00 BST.
The match is only 97.3 overs old after day one was also lost to the weather.
