Surrey fast bowler Stuart Meaker is set to undergo an operation on a knee injury this winter.

The problem caused the 24-year-old, who has played two one-day internationals for England, to miss a substantial part of the season.

Meanwhile fellow fast bowler George Edwards has had ankle surgery and has now started a rehabilitation programme.

The Lambeth-born 21-year-old is expected to return to full training early next year.
