Matt Prior: Sussex wicketkeeper out of Lancashire clash

Matt Prior will miss Sussex's County Championship clash with Lancashire, which starts on Sunday.

The England wicketkeeper has an Achilles injury ahead of the summer's first Test, against Sri Lanka at Lord's on 12 June.

Prior scored a century against Middlesex in April, playing as a specialist batsman, but has missed the last two county matches.

He was dropped after three Tests of England's 5-0 Ashes defeat.

Yorkshire's Jonny Bairstow took over with limited success but, if Prior is not fit, another option could be Lancashire wicketkeeper Jos Buttler, who plays for England in limited-overs cricket.
