Devon registered yet another big win in their 2014 Minor Counties campaign after beating Oxfordshire by nine wickets inside two days at Banbury.

Devon needed just 10 minutes to get the 15 runs they needed in their second innings after bowling their hosts out for 140 second time round.

Devon dismissed Oxfordshire for 252 before hitting 380-8 in reply.

Liam Lewis (123) and Rob Holman (109) put on 220 runs for the second wicket while Trevor Anning hit an unbeaten 36.

Bowler Anning also shone in both innings, taking 3-36 in Oxfordshire's first innings before getting figures of 2-14 in the second.

Teenage bowler Jack Popham took five wickets on his debut, with 3-16 in the second innings after taking 2-34 in the first.

Devon have won their last six matches in all competitions and beat Dorset inside two days in their first Championship match.

Devon also beat Suffolk by 138 runs in the quarter-finals of the MCCA Knockout Trophy earlier this month as they continue to show excellent form.

They face the reigning Minor Counties champions Cheshire in their next match at Sidmouth from 6 July.
