Only 10 overs were bowled on day two between Hampshire and Leicestershire in Southampton after persistent rain.

With no play before lunch, Charlie Shreck lasted only six balls after the visitors resumed on 301-9, adding two, as Matt Coles took his fourth wicket.

Hampshire's innings was regularly interrupted by rain as Jimmy Adams (29 not out) and Michael Carberry (10 not out) steered them to 48-0.

Play was called off at 17:22 BST, with the hosts trailing by 255 runs.
