Denesh Ramdin retained as West Indies Test captain in South Africa

Denesh Ramdin has been retained as West Indies Test captain for next month's tour of South Africa.

Ramdin was part of the team that left India midway through their tour last month following a contract dispute with the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB).

A full-strength squad has been named and the players given until 18 November to sign their match tour contracts.

Opening batsman Chris Gayle is also in the squad for the three-Test tour, having recovered from injury.

The two countries will also play three ODIs and three Twenty20 internationals with the first Test at Centurion due to start on 17 December.

West Indies Test squad: D Ramdin (capt & wk), S Benn, J Blackwood, K Brathwaite, D Bravo, S Chanderpaul, S Cottrell, S Gabriel, C Gayle, J Holder, L Johnson, K Roach, M Samuels, J Taylor, C Walton.
