Pakistan have retained their 1-0 series lead against New Zealand after the second Test in Dubai ended in a draw.
A century from Ross Taylor (104) had left the last day interestingly poised as New Zealand declared on 250-9 and set Pakistan a target of 261 to win.
Pakistan reached 196-5 as Asad Shafiq (41) and Sarfraz Ahmed (24) denied the Kiwis a chance to level the series with an unbroken sixth-wicket stand of 43.
Pakistan had won the first Test in Abu Dhabi by 248 runs.
The third and final Test of the series starts in Sharjah on Wednesday before the sides meet in two Twenty20 internationals and five one-day internationals.
