England have recalled Rebecca Grundy and Laura Marsh for the team's tour of New Zealand next month.

Warwickshire left-arm spinner Grundy has recovered from a groin injury, while Kent's off-spinning all-rounder Marsh is back after a shoulder problem.

Charlotte Edwards will captain the 15-player squad for a series including five one-dayers and three Twenty20s.

Edwards, vice-captain Heather Knight and wicketkeeper Sarah Taylor have spent the winter playing in Australia.

"The selectors were in a privileged position when picking the New Zealand touring party with every player in the 21-strong England women's performance programme fit and available for selection," said Clare Connor, England and Wales Cricket Board head of England Women's cricket.

"As a result, this is one of the strongest squads that we have been able to name for a while."

England squad for New Zealand: Charlotte Edwards (Kent, capt), Katherine Brunt (Yorkshire), Kate Cross (Lancashire), Lydia Greenway (Kent), Rebecca Grundy (Warwickshire), Jenny Gunn (Nottinghamshire), Danielle Hazell (Yorkshire), Amy Jones (Warwickshire, wk), Heather Knight (Berkshire, vice-capt), Laura Marsh (Kent), Natalie Sciver (Surrey), Anya Shrubsole (Somerset), Sarah Taylor (Sussex, wk), Lauren Winfield (Yorkshire), Danielle Wyatt (Nottinghamshire).
