Andrew Umeed plays for Warwickshire
Teenager Andrew Umeed struck 68 for a Scotland XI as they made a promising start to their three-day warm-up against the United Arab Emirates.
Skipper Preston Mommsen was on hand with a century as Scotland ended the first day on 339 for six at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton.
Umeed, the 19-year-old Warwickshire batsman, made a solid start along with fellow opener Hamish Gardiner (85).
And Mommsen put Scotland in a strong position by hitting 105.
Scotland are using the non-cap friendly to warm up for next week's Intercontinental Cup fixture against Afghanistan in Stirling.
