T20 Blast: Radford praises Hogan's Glamorgan heroics

Glamorgan head coach Toby Radford has praised bowler Michael Hogan following their dramatic one-run T20 Blast win over Kent.

Hogan took two wickets for one run in the 18th over at Tunbridge Wells.

"To bowl an over on what's been a pretty fast-scoring ground and just go for one run and pick up two massive wickets was just crucial and completely turned it our way," said Radford.

The win kept alive Glamorgan's hopes of making the quarter-finals.

As Friday night unfolded, Glamorgan at one point rose to third in the table.

But when all the results were in, they ended equal on 14 points with third-placed Essex and Hampshire in fourth.

Radford was also delighted with Graham Wagg's bowling as Kent fell short of the Welsh county's 179 target.

"That was an unbelievable ending and I was so pleased that we stood up to the task," Radford told BBC Radio Wales.

"We showed a lot of fight there - those guys, Hogan and Wagg, bowling at the death there [was] a fantastic effort.

"From looking like we were heading out, we're still in with a massive fight of qualifying."

Glamorgan host Gloucestershire in Cardiff in their final T20 South Group game on Friday, 24 July.

Before that Radford's men face Lancashire in County Championship Division Two at Colwyn Bay from Sunday, 19 to Wednesday, 23 July.
