One-Day Cup: Yorkshire beat Leicestershire at Headingley

Yorkshire remained on course for a place in the One-Day Cup quarter-finals with a 31-run win over Leicestershire.

Opener Alex Lees top-scored with 75 as they totalled 277-9 at Headingley despite 3-47 by paceman Clint McKay.

Leicestershire have yet to win in the competition this season, but were going well on 159-2 in the 35th over.

They then lost three wickets for eight runs, with Angus Robson falling to Will Rhodes for 90, and Matthew Fisher took 3-32 as they were bowled out for 246.

Robson missed out on a century when he was caught at mid-wicket, although he had the consolation of making his highest limited-overs score, and Niall O'Brien was bowled by Rhodes for a duck five balls later.

Michael Burgess (25) and Ben Raine (20) hit three sixes between them as they added 45 for the sixth wicket, but they fell in successive overs as Yorkshire, who included teenagers Fisher and Matthew Waite in their XI, made it four wins from six games, with two to play.

Earlier, the home side had looked on course for a score in excess of 300 as they reached 198-2, but they were only able to add 56 from their last 10 overs after all-rounder Rhodes was bowled by Raine for 46.

Yorkshire sit second in Group A with four wins from six games with the top four going through to the last eight.
