Netherlands: 210

Scotland: 35/6 (23.0 overs)

Scotland trail by 175 runs with 4 wickets remaining in the 1st innings

Scotland lost six wickets for only 31 runs as they made a disappointing start to their Intercontinental Cup match against the Netherlands in The Hague.

After day one was lost to rain, the hosts were bowled out for 210 after being put in - Roelof van der Merwe scoring 73 and Josh Davey taking 3-36.

Hamish Gardiner was bowled first ball by Vivian Kingma, who took two further wickets.

Davey was the last wicket to fall as Scotland closed on 35-6 after 23 overs.

After Gardiner's dismissal, Kingma also claimed the wicket of Matt Machan to reduce the visitors to 3-2.

Kyle Coetzer was caught in the slips by Borren before Kingma's delivery fooled Mommsen.

Richie Berrington was also caught by Borren, before Davey's exit capped a dreadful day for the Scots.

Earlier, Con de Lange (2-39), Ali Evans (2-57) and Safyaan Sharif (2-34) had all chipped in with wickets to add to Davey's three.
