Leicestershire centurions Mark Cosgrove and Mark Pettini shared a 218-run fourth-wicket stand against Northants to transform day one at Northampton.

After winning the toss and opting to bat, the visitors looked in some trouble at 61-3 after three morning wickets for home seamer Ben Sanderson.

But captain Cosgrove (111) turned the game after being joined by Pettini.

He holed out after 18 boundaries, but Pettini went on to reach 109 as the visitors closed on 330-5.
