A three-match ODI series in Rawalpindi (17, 19 & 21 September) and a five-match Twenty20 international series in Lahore (25, 26 &, 29 September and 1 & 3 October) were cancelled on 17 September because of a New Zealand government security alert.

The ODIs were not due to count towards the ICC World Cup Super League standings, as originally intended, because of the unavailability of the Decision Review System.
