Off-spinner Matt Carter has signed a one-year extension in white-ball cricket to remain at Nottinghamshire.

The 27-year-old, who has taken 59 T20 wickets for the Outlaws since 2019, signed a similar extension 12 months earlier.

His latest contract is for short forms of the game.

"I feel fortunate to have been able to call Trent Bridge home for my whole professional career," Carter told the club website.

"T20 cricket is an area I've really enjoyed exploring and developing over the last few years - I know my game well, but I know I can keep evolving to stay ahead and to help Notts win games."

Carter was part of the Outlaws side that won the T20 Blast in 2020, and has since gone on to play for the Trent Rockets in The Hundred competition - winning the 2022 title with them.
