Jersey invite English sides to play in 2024 tournament

Jersey hope to invite three English regional sides to play with their best players in a tournament in 2024.
Jersey came third in their qualifier for the 2024 T20 World Cup this summer.
Among those invited are Sunrisers, who have had Jersey skipper Chloe Greechan on trial with them.
"We're in discussion with Sunrisers and two other teams to come over and play cricket in Jersey in that Hundred period, where they've got a lack of fixtures," said Jersey coach Lee Meloy.
"They're really keen to do it and that will be exposure again for some of our girls to take part in that tournament as part of their squads," Meloy added to BBC Radio Jersey's Sport Matters podcast.
The best Jersey players, such as Greechan, would be included in the English squads to give them exposure to higher standards than they would play domestically.
Bowler Greechan was one of the standout players at the ICC Women's T20 World Cup Europe Division Two Qualifier in June, taking a tournament-high 11 wickets.
"Chloe's an exceptional talent, that's something that's undoubted within the women's game," added Meloy.
"The fact that she's got a skillset that's so desirable for a lot of counties and teams around the world, there's no doubt she's got the talent to be able to push on outside of Jersey.
"Sunrisers recognise that, they want her back this winter, there's been discussions already with their coaches about programmes that she's been on here.
"She's really well supported and at such a young age, with the desire that she's got and the support that she's got around her, I'm really confident that she can push on and be playing professional cricket in the UK if she wants to."
