Dinesh Karthik: India wicketkeeper to work as batting coach with England Lions on India tour

India wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik will work with England Lions on their upcoming tour to play India A.

The Lions will play four matches in Ahmedabad from Friday, a series which coincides with the first two matches of the Test squad's tour from 25 January.

Former England batter Ian Bell and ex-spinner Graeme Swann will also be part of the coaching staff.

England's pace bowling coach Neil Killeen has been named head coach with Lancashire's Josh Bohannon captain.

Capped players Brydon Carse, Matthew Potts, Matt Fisher, Alex Lees and Keaton Jennings are also part of the squad.

Karthik, who has played 26 Tests and 154 white-ball games for India, will work with the group for the first nine days as a batting consultant before being replaced by Bell.
